Carly Lenniger

Carly is a second-year graduate student in the Clinical Psychology program. She received her BA in Psychology from Barnard College of Columbia University in 2019, where she began her research career in Dr. Nim Tottenham's lab examining neurobehavioral trajectories in high-risk populations. After graduating, Carly continued this work, joining the Brain and Early Environment Lab at NYU Langone under the mentorship of Dr. Moriah Thomason. As a Graduate Student, Carly is interested in understanding how social experiences during adolescence influence neurodevelopment related to depression and suicidality. At Pitt Carly is also co-president of the Pitt LGBTQ+ Affinity group, where she is passionate about mental health outreach efforts for sexual and gender minority youth. In her free time Carly enjoys training service dogs with STEP at Pitt and exploring Pittsburgh’s foodie scene.
