Iris earned her B.A. in Psychology from UCLA and an M.A. in Psychology from Boston University. She then worked as a research coordinator at Northwestern University before pursuing a PhD Program in Clinical Psychology at Temple University. She is currently completing her internship year at Western Psychiatric Hospital/University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Her research examines the crosstalk between inflammatory processes and reward processing in the onset and maintenance of depression. In the ANDP Lab as a Clinical Psychology Intern, Iris investigates how dopamine availability and inflammation interact in relation to components of anhedonia.
