Melissa Nance

Melissa graduated with highest honors from the University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill with a B.A. in Psychology and minor in Social and Economic Justice. In the ANDP Lab, Melissa worked on the Inflammation and Depression Study, the Mood and Motivation Study, the LGB Youth Study, the Theta Burst Stimulation Study, and the DYADS Study. Melissa’s research interests include the development of mood and anxiety disorders, self-injurious thoughts and behaviors, and technology use. She aspires to understand how individuals develop the ability to cope with stress and regulate their emotions. Melissa likes to spend her free time cooking, traveling, and going out in nature as often as possible.

Melissa is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Psychology at the University of Missouri- St. Louis.
