Merage Ghane-Ezabadi, Ph.D

  • Postdoctoral Associate

Merage is a pre-licensed clinical psychologist and post-doc in the Phillips Mood and Brain Lab. She is both obtaining clinical hours towards licensure and providing supervision to RAs and clinical graduate students in the ANDP lab. Merage is interested in understanding the basic and clinical neuroscience of decision-making under uncertainty. More specifically, she studies how individuals combine noisy or uncertain perceptual and reward information to guide attentional and behavioral approach/avoidance. Her work has focused on identifying the behavioral and neural substrates of these processes to help identify targets for multimodal intervention. Clinically, she investigates how individual variability in detecting or responding to different sources of uncertainty contributes to transdiagnostic symptoms such as impulsivity and anhedonia.
