The Persad Center

  • A human service organization whose mission is to improve the well-being of the LGBTQ communities, and the HIV/AIDS communities. Provides outreach, prevention, counseling, training and advocacy services.

PGH Equality Center

  • Previously the Gay & Lesbian Community Center (GLCC) provides gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) individuals, their families and supporters in Western Pennsylvania with resources and opportunities to promote visibility, understanding, and equality within the LGBT communities and the community at large.

Gender and Sexual Development Program (Children’s Hospital)

  • Serves children and youth (up to age 26) with questions around gender and sexual identity development and transgender care.

Metro Community Health Center

  • A non-profit organization, serving the Swissvale, Wilkinsburg and neighboring regions, to provide comprehensive health care to all individuals regardless of their ability to pay.
  • The Metro Community Health Center has physicians who specialize in family practice, women’s health, HIV and LGBT comprehensive care, and integrated behavioral health.

Dreams of Hope

  • Dreams of Hope is a queer youth arts program which engages queer, trans, and allied youth through theatre, activism, and leadership development free of charge.

Public GSA at the Carnegie Library

  • The Teen Gender & Sexuality Alliance (GSA) is a place where you can be yourself! We’re a group of LGBTQIA teens and allies who are having fun, being supportive, learning about local resources, and striving to make our community stronger.
